On Wednesday 6th May, Philip attended the annual Shooting Star Chase celebrity golf day at Wentworth Golf Club. Philip paired up with one of 30 teams and was joined in doing so by other celelebrities including Westlife’s Brian McFadden, TV presenters Bobby Davro and Andrew Castle, actor Colin Salmon, and sports stars Gary Player and Tiff Needell.
The day’s events were followed with a prize giving ceremony and fundraising auction hosted by John Inverdale and the evening entertainment was provided by comedian Bobby Davro and musical trio The Patriot Girls.
“It’s fantastic that we can raise so much money for such an important cause. I am really proud to be involved in this day and we are really grateful to all the celebrities that give up their free time to come along and make the day a triumphant success. I was pleased to see the great turn out of more than 300 attendees, together raising an amazing amount to the Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospice!” said Lusso Homes Director Neil Jones.
Sylvia La Porte, Corporate Relationship Manager at the charity said “we are delighted to have Lusso Homes as our charity partner raising vital funds and awareness of our work, the Golf Day at Wentworth was an excellent launch event and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Neil and the Lusso Homes Team”
