Philip appeared on BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright in the Afternoon today, with guest host Ore Oduba to promote his new audio production of Treasure Island.
.As well as promoting Treasure Island, Philip also discussed the advantages of audio/voiceover work, the difficulties of keeping children entertained during the summer holidays and his work on Sky One's Living the Dream, which he said he thinks will hit screens in November. Red Carpet News have released a short interview that they conducted with Philip at the Raindance Film Festival's 25th Anniversary reception last week. In the interview he talks about the importance or Raindance and the work that they do for independent film as well as giving a little more information about his upcoming comedy drama 'Living the Dream'. Yesterday, Philip attended a special reception at the Mayfair Hotel, London to celebrate 25 years of Raindance Film Festival. Raindance was formed in 1992 and is dedicated to fostering and promoting independent film around the world. Based in the heart of London, Raindance combines Raindance Film Festival (taking place since 1993), training courses and the British Independent Film Awards. Philip is to take a leading role in Audible's new version of Treasure Island. alongside Danny Mays, Catherine Tate and Owen Teale. The producer, Audible, have sent us the following press release: Audible Originals takes to the high seas to bring to life this timeless tale of pirates, lost treasure maps and mutiny, starring BAFTA-nominated Catherine Tate (The Catherine Tate Show, The Office, Doctor Who), Philip Glenister (Outcast, Life On Mars), Owen Teale (Game of Thrones, Pulse, Last Legion) and Daniel Mays (The Adventures of Tintin, Rogue One, Atonement) amongst others. Philip is no stranger to Stevenson;s tale - in 2012 he played Captain Smollett in Sky One's adaptation of the story, which also starred Danny Mays as Dr David Livesey.. It's not yet know which characters they will be playing in this new audio version.
The audiobook will be released on 17th August 2017 priced at £14.99. |
