Remember that 2009 M&S Christmas Advertising Campaign...

The one that starred a host of celebrities, including Philip? Many people remember one specific advert mainly because there was a bit of a furore about his comment in a few of the papers. That particular advert has been available on youtube for a while now.

But hands up... How many of you knew there were three different adverts filmed for this campaign?

If you didn't, don't despair! Because thanks to loyal fan Debs, we can bring you all three of the adverts on our site. New Big School Promotional Images

The BBC have today released more promotional pictures from the new sitcom Big School starring Philip Glenister. There are four pictures of Philip's character Mr Gunn; 1 of him in assembly and 3 of what appears to be a race between him, Miss Postern (Catherine Tate) and Mr Church (David Walliams).

Details of Big School DVD released

BBC Worldwide have confirmed that the DVD of Big School, that will be released on 23rd September 2012, will contain extras including unseen footage from the series.

Major Photo Update 3/3

We have today completed our update of photos from the batch we received several weeks ago. We apologise for the delay - it's taken us quite a while to find out where some of them were from and when they were taken.

It's quite a big update in that we've added to a lot of albums (and created 3 new ones) but the new photos may only equate to one or two per event.

Sky confirm Mad Dogs finale will form part of their Autumn/Winter line up

The Sky1 press office has today confirmed that the 2x60 minute series finale of Mad Dogs will form part of their 2013 Autumn/Winter schedule.

MAD DOGS THE FINALE (2 x 60). After three gutsy, critically acclaimed series, Mad Dogs comes to a close this year with an explosive finale. Featuring a stellar British cast, Max Beesley, Philip Glenister, John Simm, and Marc Warren, customers will see the whether the boys will ever make it home from the holiday from hell.

EXCLUSIVE: Philip Glenister's new project revealed!

Just days after we brought you news that Philip would be working on a new project in September, we can now reveal what it is, thanks to his agent.

He will star as Daniel Cotton (the lead) in a 3x60min drama for BBC1 called 'From There to Here'.

Written by Peter Bowker and made by Kudos Film and Television (the people behind Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Spooks and Broadchurch) the series is set in the aftermath of the Arndale bombing, and follows a Manchester family man is torn between the life he wants and the life he could have.

This is a funny, characterful and moving drama about a man (we assume Daniel Cotton) whose life is rocked to the core – a family saga which begins in Manchester in the summer of 1996, on the day when an IRA bomb exploded in the city centre. Against the feel-good backdrop of Euro 96, it maps the emotional shockwaves generated by that bomb in the lives of two parallel families from different sides of the tracks.

Gene Hunt finishes 4th in TV detective poll

A recent CultboxTV poll asked people to vote for British TV's best detective of the 21st century so far (from shows which began after 2000).

Well, the results are in and we are pleased to announce that DCI Gene Hunt, portrayed by Philip Glenister, finished in 4th place. It's good to see the Manc Lion hasn't been forgotten now that Ashes to Ashes has finished.
