Outcast 2x09 Screencaps

30/5/2017

Another heart-wrenching episode! Goodness, the feels (and the threats) just keep coming!

This week, we finally got to see Rev Anderson deal with Sidney and take his rightful place back in the pulpit of the Light of God Baptist Church.  Meghan, Holly, Allison and Amber were also placed into dangerous situations as the series catapults towards it's conclusion.
Are you ready for the finale next week? We're not - we don't know what we'll do without our weekly dose of the Rev!

Philip sends message in remembrance of Sir Roger Moore

24/5/2017

Picture
The acting community  lost a beloved member on Tuesday - Sir Roger Moore, who is best known for playing James Bond, passed away after a battle with cancer. Many of you will know that Philip was a huge fan of Moore's 70s TV show, The Persuaders and will remember Philip getting to experience the iconic DBS from the programme in the second series of For the Love of Cars.

Upon hearing the news of Roger's death he sent a message in remembrance of Roger. The message, posted on the Facebook Page that is run on his behalf, reads:

The Persuaders was my favourite show as a kid, and Roger became my childhood hero - debonair, classy, and never took himself too seriously. Much missed.
You can listen to Philip talk about his love of The Persuaders and how it influenced Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes on YouTube.

Outcast 2x08 Screencaps

23/5/2017

This week's episode was a bit of a creep-a-thon with the return of killer, Blake Morrow (Lee Tergesen). For those of you struggling to remember, her was the one who killed his best friend's wife  in the second episode of  the first series.
Still possessed, Blake  was trying to find Kyle and befriended Meghan while doing so. At the same time, Rev Anderson came face to face with Sidney in a confined space. And the Rev did not want to turn the other cheek... oh no, he was out for revenge.  There was also the appearance of a mystery man at the end of the episode - keeping vigil over Kyle's mother. Could this be the long lost Simon Barnes? You'll have to tune in next week to find out.

With only two episodes left the finish line is in sight.  Hopefully a third series will be forthcoming...

First glimpse of Philip in 'Living the Dream'

23/5/2017

Sky One have revealed the first images of Philip in their new comedy drama, Living the Dream.
In an accompanying press release, Philip's character was confirmed as Mal Pemberton who, along with his wife, Jen (Lesley Sharp and children Tina (Rosie Day) and Freddie (Brenock O'Connor), decides it’s time to leave rainy England and move to the sunshine state of Florida.

Mal’s buys an RV Park with plans for a booming family-run business, but it soon turns out that they are not going to be living the dream they hoped. Before they’ve even settled in, Mal discovers that the park is home to a group of eccentric residents who are not exactly thrilled to meet their new owners. Jen has to learn how to survive American suburbia and the kids have to navigate a US high school.

With culture clashes aplenty, life in Britain soon seems even further away than they’d thought it would. But with the support of each other and their crazy new friends, they begin to learn how to live the American dream.

The show will also star Kim Fields (The Facts of Life) as their larger than life neighbour Rhoda, Kevin Nash (Magic Mike) as ex wrestler and park resident Troy, Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace) as busy-body, park resident Aiden, Paula Wilcox (Mount Pleasant) as Maureen and Jimmy Akingbola (Rev.) as Paul.

Philip has commented on his involvement in the project saying,
Really looking forward to making Living the Dream a reality! Along with a hugely talented cast and crew! Fire up my trailer park!
Lesley Sharp, who starred opposite Philip in Clocking Off, said,
This is an amazing opportunity to work on a warm and witty comedy drama with a great colleague Phil Glenister. It's wonderful to be working with him again.
There will be 6 episodes of the new series, which has recently begun filming in Saddleworth, Yorkshire and Savannah, USA. It is expected it will be available on Sky 1 and online streaming service NOWTV either later this year or early next year.
