Philip and his wife, Beth are amongst fourteen famous faces who have been recruited to become ambassadors for The Orange Tree theatre in Richmond. The role of the new ambassadors will be to champion the work of the theatre, after it lost regular Arts Council England funding back in 2014. Speaking of his appointment, Philip said:. They do some very good work. If you want new writing and want to find new talent, [this is] the place where you’re going to find it. You’ve got to learn your trade. And that all starts in the local community. It’s important that local communities help and support each other. Other ambassadors include Michael Attenborough (son of Richard), actress Samantha Bond and her husband, Alexander Hanson, broadcaster Gyles Brandreth and his wife Michelle and actress Sally Phillips.

Full Gallery: The Level Promotional Photos The Level to air on 30th September14/9/2016 Philip's new 6-part ITV drama, The Level, will premiere on Friday 30th September at 9pm.
The Level is set in Brighton and follows Detective Sergeant Nancy Devlin, who has a secret double life. Her exemplary police career masks a covert attachment to shady businessman and drugs trafficker, Frank Le Saux. Inextricably linked to Frank from childhood as the father of her best friend, Nancy has been playing a dangerous game to ensure that Frank always remains off the police radar. She soon finds herself at the centre of an investigation which puts her at risk of exposure and sees her stalked by a killer intent on destroying her. Friday night has never been a particularly strong night for drama, with audiences traditionally preferring Friday nights to be comedy nights. Added to the fact that ITV has crammed its weekly schedule full of drama - a different one each night, it could be tricky for The Level to get good audience share. Hopefully, the star-studded cast which also includes Rob James Collier (Downton Abbey) and Amanda Burton (Peak Practice, Silent Witness) will help boost it's ratings. The first series of Outcast, which aired on FoxTvUK this summer, is set for release just in time for Christmas.
The series, which starts Philip as Southern preacher Rev. John Anderson will hit the shelves in both DVD and Blu-Ray form on Monday 12th December. New trailer released for The Level8/9/2016 ITV have released a new trailer for The Level, starring Philip as gangster, Frank Le Saux. The tagline to the trailer is 'coming soon' and sources at ITV tell us that it's more than likely going to air before the end of this month. Fingers crossed! Watch the trailer: |
