This House shortlisted for Best Play at London Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

This House has made the short-list for 'Best Play' at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

It is up against:

Constellations by Nick Payne (Royal Court Upstairs), and
Love and Information by Caryl Churchill (Royal Court Downstairs)

There is also a Best Actor nomination for Charles Edwards (for The King's Speech and This House) but, unfortunately nothing for Philip on this occasion.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Savoy Hotel on 25th November and will be hosted by James Corden.

National Theatre Live to broadcast This House at Olivier

The National Theatre have just announced that they are going to broadcast a live stream of This House when it transfers to the Olivier next year as part of the National Theatre Live project. This will see the production broadcast live to cinemas across the world.

As the National Theatre have already confirmed that Philip won't be transferring with the production, the broadcast won't include him. Whilst this will mean disappointment for many of Philip's fans, who did not manage to get tickets to the first run of This House, the play itself is still worthy of a watch and we're sure whoever takes on the role of Walter Harrison, will do a great job.

The broadcast is planned for 16th May 2012 and details of venues and bookings will be announced shortly.

Confirmed: Philip Glenister will not appear in the second run of 'This House'.

The National Theatre have today confirmed to us that, due to filming commitments, Philip Glenister will not be appearing in This House when it transfers to the Olivier in February.

It's sad we agree, but at least we'll be seeing him on television/film soon.

Nominate Philip Glenister and 'This House' in the What'sOnStage.com awards

Nominations for the What'sOnStage.com Awards 2013 are now open. The annual Awards - the only major theatre prize to be decided across all categories by the theatregoing public - have firmly established their place in the theatrical calendar with over 70,000 people voting last year alone.

To nominate Philip Glenister and This House, go here and select the appropriate category (e.g. Best Actor).

The deadline for nominations is 30th November.

Tickets for second run of 'This House' to go on sale in November

After selling out on it's first run, 'This House' will transfer to the Olivier theatre from Feb 2013.

Tickets for this run will go on sale to Priority Members of the National Theatre on 9th November and then to the general public on 23rd November.

Note: The casting for the second run is yet to be confirmed. We will let you know as soon as we do if Philip is to star.

This House long-listed for 3 London Evening Standard Theatre Awards

This House has been long-listed for three awards by the London Evening Standard. These are:

Best Play
Best Director (Jeremy Herrin)
Best Actor (Charles Edwards, who is also nominated for The King's Speech)

Sadly no individual award for Phil on this occasion.

The shortlist will be announced on November 12 and the winners revealed at a ceremony presented by James Corden at the Savoy Hotel on November 25, when the recipients of five special awards will also be revealed.
