BBC Radio 4 Loose Ends - Philip announces new project with brother, Robert.

It's news that a lot of Philip's fans have been waiting for... Philip and his brother, Robert are finally going to be working together.

In an interview with Clive Anderson, Philip revealed that they have just recorded a new version of Sam Shephard's play True West for Radio 4 which has been produced by Robert's wife, Celia.

True West is about the sibling rivalry between two estranged brothers who have reconnected. No air date for the project has been announced yet, but we'll keep you posted.

Phil's fans aren't the only ones who are excited at the news, Robert's daughter (and therefore, Phil's neice), Emily took to Twitter to express her excitment!

Delve into the Glenister's family history with BBC Wales

Philip Glenister's ancestry will be the focus of this week's 'Coming Home' on BBC One Wales; a show in which celebrities investigate their Welsh heritage . Alas, it is Phil's brother Robert who will appear in the show, but there is a fair chance that Philip will receive a mention or two. The official synopsis of the episode is:

    "Spooks and Hustle actor Robert Glenister makes an emotional journey to Wales to trace his family tree,
    where he learns of an extraordinary story of courage and heroism that would see his ancestor travel to the
    other side of the world to do his duty for king and country."

'Coming Home' can be viewed on BBC One Wales next Friday, the 14th December, at 19.30 and afterwards on BBC iPlayer (available to all UK viewers)
