Gallery updates: Outcast 1x07 screencaps

24/7/2016

In the midst of all the news and photos from #SDCC we've finally managed to find some time to make and upload the screencaps from Friday night's episode, 1x07: The Damage Done.

It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster of an episode for the Rev, with lots of meaty scenes for Phil to stick his teeth into. As such there are over 100 HD images in the gallery. As usual, if you do use any of these images for edits etc, please do credit. Enjoy.

San Diego Comic Con: Day 3

24/7/2016

Yesterday was a busy day for the stars of Outcast as they spent their third day at San Diego Comic Con and took part in several big interviews and panels.

Big names on the interview list were CBR, SiriusXM and Entertainment Weekly. They also joined Nerdist on stage to take part in a panel.
After that they headed straight to the Outcast booth to check out the merchandise and sign some autographs before taking part in their own dedicated Outcast Panel. On the panel were, Rober Kirkman (creator), Patrick Fugit (Kyle), Philip (Rev Anderson), Wrenn Schmidt (Megan Holter), Reg E Cathey (Chief Giles) and Chris Black (showrunner). There was also a cameo appearance by Gabriel Bateman, who plays Joshua in the pilot episode.
We are expecting a video of the panel to surface in the next few days (they usually do) but while we wait for that, here are some of Philip’s reported highlights.

Phil introduced himself to the crowd with a thinly-veiled barb at the current political climate in Britain.
I’m from Brexiit, I mean, Little England...This is my first excursion to American TV, and I've been made very welcome
Phil then talked about making the show and his character's dynamic with Kyle Barnes, who turns out to be a natural at dealing with the supernatural.
The pilot exorcism took 2 days to shoot and was probably my favourite possession scene.

There's this sort of envy from the Reverend that turns into a grudging respect. He's a great character, full of complexities of his own.
When Reg E Cathey suggested that Season 2 should see the characters uprooted to the Bahamas, Phil added:
I'll set up a missionary shop or something.
A fan asked, How did Anderson and Giles become friends? Reg E Cathey said that in his mind, the two met as children.
I have dear friends of mine that I grew up with in Alabama, that I've fused Philip and my friend Francis or Ken together... and so I think that their relationship, I'm dancing over stuff that's going to come, but their relationship is built on adolescent fun, danger, trust and the trust that comes out of being young and stupid and learning from your youth and stupidity
Cinemax also debuted a brand new trailer for the remaining episodes of Outcast, which you can view below.

San Diego Comic Con: Day 1

22/7/2016

Philip and the cast of Outcast have arrived at San Diego Comic Con. During the event, which lasts until Sunday, they will take part in signings and panels, plus a few other promotional activities.
Yesterday (Thursday) they visited with TV Line and Wired to give interviews about the show.  In one interview, when asked what stepd he'd take to 'help' a possessed Comic-Con attendee, Phil joked:
“I think they’re already possessed out there, but I’d ply ’em all with some holy wine and get ’em all loosened up.
He also spoke about the particularly gruesome scene at the end of last week's episode where he has a pentagram carved into his chest.
“I sent a photograph back home to my wife, saying, ‘I’ve finally found a tattooist, but I’m not sure how good he is',"
We're sure Beth was thrilled with that!

They finished off their first day at Comic Con by attending the HBO/Cinemax party. Let's hope they don't have too much of a hangover in the morning as they have a busy few days ahead. There are two events that the public can share in via live stream on the Outcast Facebook page:
  • Friday 22nd Jully at 10:25 PDT (18:25 BST) - Outcast: Exclusive Facebook Live streaming
  • Saturday 23rd July at 17.15 PDT (01:15 BST Sun) - Outcast: Official Comic-Con panel
They will also attend a Nerdist panel at 13.30 PDT (21.30 BST) on Saturday but we don't think this will be available to stream.

As always, make sure you're following the sites Twitter and Facebook for the most up-to-the-minute news and photos from the event!
