Mad Dogs Series 2: Philip Glenister Q&A
Philip Glenister is one of Britain's busiest and best-loved actors. Probably most famous for playing Life on Mars' Gene Hunt – opposite Mad Dogs co-star John Simm – he also appeared in its sequel Ashes to Ashes, with Keeley Hawes, Paul Abbott's Clocking Off and State of Play, and recent BBC1 thriller Hidden. He played Captain Smollett in Sky1's lavish adaptation of Treasure Island. He plays Quinn in Mad Dogs.

Away-Day Thrill of Mad Dogs
Take four of the best character-actors on telly, fly them to Majorca on a summer break to meet an old mate and what have you got? Mad Dogs; one of the best starts to a thriller I have seen on TV for years. Mind you, it was always going to be a quality drama with the likes of Philip Glenister, John Simm, Marc Warren and Max Beesley in the cast.

Mad Dogs: British Drama Let Off The Leash
Reuniting Life on Mars's Philip Glenister and John Simm, and also starring Max Beesley and Hustle's Marc Warren, Mad Dog's foursome play a group of old friends in their 40s. They arrive at the uber-luxurious Majorca home of their old friend Alvo for a week's holiday. But, as is apparent by the opening home video messages to loved ones showing them bruised, battered and defeated, they are in for the week from hell.

Mad Dogs: Review
How do you get Philip Glenister, John Simm, Marc Warren, Max Beesley and Ben Chaplin to sign up for the same TV series? Easy. You tell them it’s being shot on location at a luxury Spanish villa. You then add that many scenes will entail larking about in and around a beautiful swimming pool, before going for a jaunt around Majorca on a massive super yacht.

Series 1 Press Pack - Philip Glenister plays Quinn
Surprisingly, Philip Glenister rarely insults passers by and almost never says ‘fire up the Quattro.’ Indeed, in Mad Dogs he’s playing the exact opposite of DCI Gene Hunt – a mild mannered psychology lecturer called Quinn. He’s playing against old friends – Life On Mars and State of Play co-stars John Simm and Marc Warren. As he told us, this is no co-incidence.
