'For the Love of Cars' - Series 2 Episode Guide
Series 2 of For the Love of Cars aired on Channel Four from 19th April 2015. It comprised eight episodes in which Philip and Ant answered desperate calls for help from people battling to finish their classic car restoration.
Episode 1: Aston Martin DBS
Air date: Sunday 19th April 2015
Synopsis: In a driveway in Hertfordshire, Philip and Ant discover a rotting Aston Martin DBS - the model from On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Over 10 weeks, they complete the bare metal restoration before the vehicle is sold at auction, and Philip gets to experience Roger Moore's DBS from the cult 1970s show The Persuaders.

Episode 2: Rover SD1 Police Car

Synopsis: Philip Glenister gets to fulfil an ultimate high-octane dream and drive some of Britain's most iconic police cars. Alongside him is former cop Ant Anstead, who demonstrates how to master these versatile vehicles. The duo get to work restoring a Rover SD1 discovered on a driveway in Essex, and push a 1959 Daimler Dart to the limit re-enacting the notorious `Liver Run', accompanied by out-riders on the M11, and through the busy streets of London.

Episode 3: Hot Hatches

Synopsis: Philip Glenister and Ant Anstead turn their attention to the 1980s `hot hatch' - city run-a-rounds, such as the Volkswagen Golf GTi and Peugeot 205, which became must-haves for boy racers. They help transform a Golf GTi Mk 1 into a rally car and meet hatchback fanatics to discover why people are so passionate about these vehicles and how, for some, they defined an era.

Episode 4: Micro Cars

Synopsis: Philip Glenister and Ant Anstead enter the world of micro cars, risking life and limb to drive a 1960 Messerschmitt through rush-hour traffic, looking at 1960s bubble cars, and asking whether the ill-fated Sinclair C5 was simply ahead of its time. They also help an owner restore a Fiat 500, which has been rotting in his garage for years, in time for an auction.

Synopsis: The lads celebrate Swedish cars, which they claim to be the unlikely trailblazers of motoring. Philip Glenister gets to live out a childhood dream when he gets behind the wheel of the Volvo P1800 from Roger Moore's 1960s TV series The Saint, the duo drive a Saab 96 along one of the highest and most treacherous winding roads in the Scottish Highlands, and they visit the renowned Millbrook testing ground to put a 25-year-old Saab 900 Turbo through its paces.

Synopsis: Philip Glenister and Ant Anstead restore a Ford Transit in Manchester. They discover the vehicle has an unusual bonnet, which is a sign that it could be an exceptionally rare and valuable model of the classic van. Plus, a look at some of the most famous working vehicles manufactured in Britain, including black cabs, tractors and armoured cars.

Along the way, they meet a car collector who owns seven Citroen 2CVs and come to the aid of a driver who wants their help restoring his treasured VW Beetle so it can be sold at auction.
