Philip Glenister's 'In Conversation' at the National Theatre is now available as an audio podcast through iTunes. Download the podcast to hear Philip talk about his role in current production 'This House', his early life and of course, Gene Hunt. The National Theatre have just announced that they are going to broadcast a live stream of This House when it transfers to the Olivier next year as part of the National Theatre Live project. This will see the production broadcast live to cinemas across the world. As the National Theatre have already confirmed that Philip won't be transferring with the production, the broadcast won't include him. Whilst this will mean disappointment for many of Philip's fans, who did not manage to get tickets to the first run of This House, the play itself is still worthy of a watch and we're sure whoever takes on the role of Walter Harrison, will do a great job. The broadcast is planned for 16th May 2012 and details of venues and bookings will be announced shortly. New 'Articles' section, now live4/11/2012 We are pleased to announce the launch of a new 'Articles' section of the website. It currently contains a collection of over 40 articles from 2008 to present. If you have any other links, transcripts or article scans that you would be happy to share please do contact us. The National Theatre have today confirmed to us that, due to filming commitments, Philip Glenister will not be appearing in This House when it transfers to the Olivier in February.
It's sad we agree, but at least we'll be seeing him on television/film soon. Nominations for the What'sOnStage.com Awards 2013 are now open.
