Website future secured!!3/10/2013 Thanks to the success of our fundraising campaign, we can now confirm that the future of this website is secured for the next 2 years.
The generosity of the visitors to this site has been overwhelming for the admin team and we truly are grateful for your support. In addition to securing web hosting for the next two years, we have also set up our own domain. This will give us a more professional image and will also allow more flexibility in what we do. This means we have a new URL: http://www.philipglenisterfans.org.uk/ Please update your bookmarks/favourites to reflect this, but rest assured the old URL should still redirect here. If you have do experience any problems let us know. There is a bit of money left over and we are still deciding what to do with this. If you feel you still wish to donate to the work of the site, you can do so on our go fund me page- it will be put to good use!! Thanks to the generosity of several people on Twitter we can bring you more photos from the set of From There to Here earlier today.
The filming took place on Hilton St in the Northern Quarter of Manchester, where the entire street was transformed to look like the front of the Arndale Centre moments after the explosion in 1996. Here's a taster of some of the pics, but you'll need to visit our From There to Here Photo gallery. Mad Dogs 4 confirmed for Christmas 20132/10/2013 Sky have confirmed via Twitter that, as we expected, Mad Dogs 4 will air over the Christmas period. They confirmed the news in a tweet to fan Luke Sumner, after he had enquired when it would be shown. With it only being a two parter, Sky have more flexibility in how they air it; it may be both episodes are shown on consecutive nights in the week or at a weekend, consecutive weeks or many other combinations.
We're expecting some more details within the next two weeks, but whether that will include broadcast dates is unclear. Watch this space! Now, The Telegraph hears that the talented 31-year-old playwright has been invited by the BBC develop it as a television series. There is no news on casting yet though. “It’s too early to talk about casting, but I loved the actors who brought it alive when it was first staged as a play,” says Graham of last year’s production which starred Philip Glenister, Julian Wadham and Rupert Vansittart. “Things can go awry in the world of television development, but I’m thrilled that they are interested in it.” In the his interview, Graham also commented on politicians who came to see This House. “George Osborne came along to see This House and said he enjoyed it.” Thanks to Mitchell McGee, who worked on the set of Ashes to Ashes, we can bring you some previously never before seen photos of Philip and behind the scenes of the series. There is also this one from the set of Demons Mitchell also has an very exciting Ashes to Ashes memorabilia auction coming up and we shall be featuring it on the site, so keep an eye out for that!!
