The Mad Dogs are back!
From fetching orange jumpsuits and weirdo aliens to a scary-looking Jaime Winstone and a two-year fast-forward, tonight’s new series of Mad Dogs looks set to be the best one yet… and we CANNOT wait!
To celebrate its return, us lovely folks at Fabulous have decided to give you a quick recap before you settle down on the sofa tonight (9pm Sky 1 HD, people).
So, here goes:
Series One saw misfortunate friends, Baxter, Rick, Quinn and Woody get together at their old friend Alvo’s Majorca retreat to celebrate his early retirement only for him to get murdered (major bummer). Chaos ensued but somehow, yes, somehow, they managed to escape (even after encountering some VBP – very bad people) but fortune was not on their side for long and in Series Two the hapless mates ended up being part of a drugs ring. They escaped it, but then ended up being caught by armed guards in Morocco, after being tricked into going there from Ibiza by naughty drug lords rather than home via mainland Spain. (And breathe…)
Tonight we catch up where it left off and just in case you need it, here’s a little who’s who:
WOODY – played by Max Beesley
This guy is a reformed alcoholic widower. Yes, really. Usually calm, cool and cute, last series we saw him lose it majorly in a crisis.
BAXTER – played by John Simm
Critically acclaimed actor John plays the solemn bankrupt and estranged dad-of-one. Sensible and serious, we saw his sexy side last series when he embarked on a relationship with gorgeous local girl Carmen.
QUINN – Philip Glenister
The grump of the group played perfectly by Life of Mars actor, Phil, this series we see him wash his hands of the boys. But will it be for good?
RICK – Marc Warren
Reckless and immature, Rick is the spoilt kid of the group. It’s his hot head and temper tantrums that often lead to the friends falling out. Let’s hope he’s matured a little this series – although judging by the trailer, we’re not so sure…
Mad Dogs Series Three starts tonight at 9pm on Sky1 and Sky1 HD.
